Comments Off on Frenectomy Occasionally, the tissue that holds the upper lip to the attached gums above the upper central incisors and is strongly attached to the bone becomes excessive and thick that it grows between the front surfaces of the upper central incisors resulting to the inability for the upper front teeth to come together. The resultant space is unsightly. Treatment for this excessive frenum is called frenectomy or frenulectomy.
