Since it is artificial, cosmetic features are incorporated to enhance the facial looks of the patient. When a denture is immediately delivered right after the teeth are extracted, it is called an Immediate Denture. When it uses retention of existing tooth or teeth and is placed over it, it is called an Overdenture. When it replaces a missing tooth or teeth but not all of them, it is called a Partial Denture. When it replaces the whole set of adult teeth, it is called a Full or Complete Denture. When it uses the retention of an implant or implants, it is called an Implant Denture. “The fastest and easiest way to lose a denture is to wrap it with a paper towel.”– Dr. Sarah Lim.DMD
